Look up a number in JSON

Use GET or HEAD at www.sinspam.org. In the API URL, enter the complete international number with its country calling code, using digits only, without +, spaces or dashes.

The JSON response contains three fields and supports browser requests through CORS.

On the page for people, enter the number with + and its country calling code.

Look up a number

Three fields in every response

positive_votes

Positive votes: “Not annoying”. An integer greater than or equal to zero.

negative_votes

Negative votes: “Annoying”. An integer greater than or equal to zero.

queried_at

The UTC date and time of the lookup, in ISO 8601 format.

If no votes are available for the number, both counts are zero. This means no opinions are available; it is not a safety rating.

HTTP statuses

200

Successful lookup, including when both counts are zero.

422

The number or its format is invalid. Check the country calling code and digits.

403

Always use www.sinspam.org.

Updates

The lookup is updated every 24 hours.
